Adding something extra special to your wedding day.
A big part of being a wedding planner is to offer creative and thoughtful ideas to couples planning their wedding. In this blog we have suggested three inspiring ideas you may wish to incorporate into your day to hep personalise your event.
1) Sand Ceremony – This ceremony symbolises the inseparable union of the couple into a new and eternal marriage.
It is a symbol that the two individuals join their separate lives together. The two separate bottles of sand symbolise their separate lives, separate family and separate sets of friends. They represent all that they are and all that they will ever be as an individual. They also represent their lives before their wedding day.
As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. The grains of sand can never be separated out and poured into an individual container again once they are combined, which is what the couple want to reflect in their marriage.
2) Dove Release – As a true symbol of Love, the White Dove chooses its mate for life, therefore they are a very fitting and final addition to any wedding. They create a magical atmosphere as they circle the skies before leaving on their new journey together. It is a good idea to do this following the ceremony.
3) Signature Cocktail – Serve a cocktail that reflects the couple, individually and/or together. Provide a short note on a card explaining why these cocktails were chosen and if there is a story behind them it would be good for it to be shared with your guests. The note could also be a nice memento for your guests to take home.
For example, if the couple met or got engaged in Japan they could serve signature drinks like sake or maybe have a Japanese themed reception with other Japanese cocktails.
There are plenty of different and original things you can do to personalise your special day. MJP Events & Design specialise in turning these ideas into a reality and always aim to achieve memorable moments that make your wedding beautifully unique to both you and your guests.
