Raphaella Etiene, Owner of Trois Pivoines in Paris and Jeanette Spencer, Owner of MJP Events in London worked towards planning a styled shoot using the concept of a rustic and romantically themed wedding. Generally when we think of romance, we think of roses and candlelight, whereby our location was very rustic which we used as the main inspiration behind this shoot. Our bride was showcased in two separate areas of our venue Gite les Racines. We used the barn area to display our beautiful table scape and floral arch, and also captured some stunning moments inside the property, such as on the property’s hand carved staircase.
Frank Guiraud is a fantastic wedding photographer and you only have to look at his portfolio to see why we chose him. Frank worked hard to capture the rustic feel of the venue and infused it with a sense of romance. The romantic ambience was enhanced by the special effects lighting, provided by Youri Esparre, who is the owner of Creneaux. Youri created a pink backdrop for our arch which added extra depth and enchantment to the photos.
The location of the shoot was the Gite les Racines which is located in Somme, in the North of France. Gite les Racines is the perfect venue for a romantic French getaway as it is intriguingly quiet and offers its guests unforgettable comfort and extremely pleasant moments in the countryside. Gite les Racines is full of character and charm with its red brick walls and barn like feel, it is the perfect location for a rustic wedding.
Our bride Dorian, elegantly modelled a beautiful lace wedding dress and princess tiara, designed by Renee and which was provided by Priam, Paris. Dorian’s smile can honestly light up a room and the tiara she wore complemented and enhanced the bridal look we were trying to achieve. Dorians make up was flawlessly applied by Thipiga, owner of The Paris Make Up. Thipiga used golds and browns to complement the skin tone of our bride, which was finished with bold red lips, which fit perfectly with our rustic and romantic theme. Dorians look was very striking and reflected her natural modern style.
For the table scape we used a mix of golds and silvers, which is something you don’t see all the time. This was done to add more sparkle and contrast to the table and worked well with the candle light and variations of tones in which we incorporated. We designed the perfect combination of pastel pink which we used for the colour of the napkin, along with pink and purple pressed glasses to add some texture to the table.
For the flowers we wanted to create a mix of greenery and roses. Raphaella created a beautifully designed circular floral arch which was used as a backdrop, along with a hand tied bouquet showcasing white hydrangeas, and red roses. For the arch we were keen to display some textural foliage which created a dramatic contrast against the beautiful lace wedding dress. Clusters of pink and red roses along with draped wisteria added to the overall look and romantic feel we wanted to achieve. The stunning table centrepiece which was the focal point of the table was created using a mixture of hydrangeas, roses, baby breath and eucalyptus and was a dramatic mix of whites, pinks and reds.
